Food Safety

With any event in our community there is almost always food involved.

Food Safety is therefore an important consideration and of course Council need to comply with the legislation:

Food Standard 3.2.2A -10 : which states that ‘A food business must ensure that each food handler who engages in a prescribed activity has, before engaging in that activity:

(a) completed a food safety training course; or
(b) have skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene matters commensurate with that specific prescribed activity.’

If there is a community event coming up and you want to run a food stall or help out with the food preparation you will need to have completed your food safety certificate.
