Wujal Wujal Aboriginal Shire Council works closely with a number of agencies that work to support the needs of the community. We want to thank the dedicated people in these agencies for the support they offer our community.

Jabalbina who work to protect culture, manage bubu and jalun, strengthen governance, and create opportunities for economic, social and cultural development. Guided by Traditional Lore and custom, the plan provides a roadmap for sustainable growth, self-determination and caring for Country for future generations.

Apumipima Cape York Health Council providing culturally safe primary health care and wellbeing services for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people living in Cape York.

The Wujal Wujal Justice Group

The Wujal Wujal Justice Group are a forward thinking Indigenous NGO in Kuku Yalanji Country, Far North Queensland. Our staff help community members with all aspects of the Justice system. We provide court support for offenders and victims, offer counselling & mediation, make referrals and much more. We facilitate a range of Community based programs, such as the Restorative Justice and Domestic & Family Violence Counselling Programs.  

These Programs provide offenders, victims and their families with opportunities to re-connect and heal relationships in a culturally appropriate way.

Gungarde Community Aboriginal Corporation

Gungarde Community Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit organisation delivering a range of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Cooktown and surrounding districts. Gungarde Community Centre Aboriginal Corporation is based in Cooktown Far North Queensland and has been operating since 1982.

My Pathway

My Pathway is a social and economic development organisation delivering services from the Top End and Torres Strait to Tasmania. We have been developing people, connecting them to opportunities and helping communities to grow since 2007.

Torres Cape Health and Hospital Services Wujal Wujal Primary Health Care Centre

Our health centre is managed by remote area nurses and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers. We have visiting specialists and community health services. TCHHS are working out of temporary clinic built after Tropical Cyclone Jasper rendered the Primary Health Clinic unusable. 

Opening Hours: Monday to Sunday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. On Fridays, we close at midday.
