Australia is home to a wide variety of cockroach species, ranging from notorious household pests to harmless native bush-dwellers.  

While some species such as the German and Australian cockroach, are well known for infesting homes, many others - including the Giant Burrowing and Bush Cockroaches - live entirely outdoors and play important ecological roles.

If you are experiencing issues with pests in your homes, please call the Housing Department on the Blue Phone. 

Council works closely with them and with other agencies supporting routine pest management in community.
