Corporate Plan

The Corporate Plan is the Council's major planning document and is a statutory requirement under the Queensland Local Government Act 2009.  

The intention is to provide our community and our stakeholders with a clear picture of the path council is taking and our priorities for the next five years. 

This Plan gives structure to the annual prioritisation of council's service provision, informing the yearly Operational Plan and Annual Budget.   

It is a critical part of Council's Corporate Governance, contributing to long-term financial sustainability and transparent, accountable and responsible management.

Operational Plans

The Operational Plan provides the framework to support the organisation to operationalise the goals of the Corporate Plan by setting out the specific activities, timelines and measures, which helps to maintain focus and provide transparency as the Council progresses the delivery of the Operational Plan objectives.  

It serves as a crucial roadmap for our targets and goals over a twelve-month period. It's not just a document; it's a powerful tool that guides our staff in determining their work aligns with Council’s profile. 

Water Supply and Sewerage

Council is responsible for the delivery and management of water supply and sewerage services to the community. Information available includes:

  • Water Supply and Sewerage Systems
  • Drinking Water Quality Management Plan (DWQMP)

Animal Management

Council provides animal management services in accordance with legislative requirements. Information available includes:

Register of Delegations

Council operates under a formal system of delegations in accordance with the Local Government Act 2009 (Qld).

Delegations allow certain powers and functions of Council to be exercised by the Chief Executive Officer and authorised officers to ensure the efficient and effective day‑to‑day operations of Council.

Council maintains an internal Delegations Register, which records:

  • Powers and functions delegated
  • Legislation under which the power is exercised
  • Position or officer delegated
  • Relevant conditions or limitations

Delegations are reviewed regularly and updated in accordance with Council resolutions. For operational, safety and governance reasons, the full Delegations Register is not published on Council’s website.

Development Application Register (Planning)

Council publishes a Development Application Register in accordance with planning legislation to support transparency in planning and development decision‑making. The register provides information about development applications lodged with Council, including:

  • Application reference number
  • Property address
  • Type of development
  • Application status
  • Relevant decision dates

Information published is updated regularly, some information may be excluded where disclosure is restricted by legislation. The Development Application Register is available online: View the Development Application Register(PDF, 121KB).

Cemeteries Register

Information relating to Council‑managed cemeteries and associated registers.
