DEMOLITON - RELOCATION - CONSTRUCTION It is all happening at present - three significant projects underway that are all part of the communities ongoing recovery efforts post the damage caused by Tropical Cyclone Jasper in Dec 2023. 1. DEMOLITION of the Council Administration Building is underway. The timber decking has been removed bit by bit of the past month and save for reuse in other projects. The excavator that has been on site this week has been removing portions of the building, and the demolition is now underway and progressing fast. 2. RELOCATION of the SES Shed. SES Shed is being dismantled for relocation – these images show the progress with some of the walls already removed. 3. CONSTRUCTION of the driveway to the cemetery. Thanks to Reef Guardian for funding the development of a proper driveway to the cemetery. These pictures show the preparation for the construction of the concrete driveway, the roundabout at the top.
